            General Board Meeting called to order at 3:17 p.m. by President Mr. Schloss.  Present were Directors Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag and Mr. Meyer, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent.  There were no Citizens present. 

            Mr. Meyer made a motion to accept the agenda as written, 2^nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, and Mr. Meyer aye.

            Motion by Mr. Meyer to accept the minutes from the executive session of February 7, 2008, and the general sessions of February 7, 2008, February 20, 2008 and February 26, 2008 as presented, 2^nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye. 

            Mr. Meyer gave the treasurer’s report for the month ending February 29, 2008. 

            Mr. Meyer reported that revenue collected through the lockbox in February was $34,868 over budget for the month.  Mr. Meyer also reported that interest income was higher in February this year than last year because we invested in CD’s earlier than last year even though interest rates are down this year.

            Mr. Meyer stated that actual expenditures for the second month of the year are at 12.9%, or lower than what we set for the budget for the year.  

Mr. Meyer reported that we collected $35,979 in tax revenue in the month of February.

            Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the treasurer’s report as presented, 2^nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye. 

Chief Svetanics reported that we had to have sewer work done and garage door repairs this month. 

            Monthly reports presented on training by each crew member, maintenance report, fire incident report and summary, ambulance statistics, ambulance monthly lockbox report and MediClaims report, public relations report, community services report, wage report and  South County Fire Alarm Association’s Treasurer’s report.

            Next months board meetings will be scheduled during next week’s bill discussion meeting.

            Motion by Mr. Bettag to recess general meeting at 3:42 p.m. and move to closed executive session, 2^nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
