General Board Meeting called to order at 11:00 a.m. by Chairman Mr. Schloss. Present were Directors Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag and Mr. Meyer, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. There were no citizens of the district present.
Pledge of Allegiance led by Chief Svetanics.
Mr. Schloss stated there are no additions to the agenda,
Montgomery Bank President Donald Doherty joined the meeting by telephone at 11:05 a.m.
Mr. Doherty and the Board discussed the difference in getting CD’s or staying with a sweep account at the bank for tax revenue. One of the options Mr. Doherty proposed was that the District take advantage of the FDIC program called CDARS – or Certificate of Deposit Requesting System which we are eligible for
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept investment program identified as DCARS as outlined by Montgomery Bank, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss, aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Mr. Doherty left the meeting at 11:15 a.m.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept Resolution 3-09 - Investment Policy for Lemay Fire Protection District, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss, aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Mr. Bettag requested that a file be created on Education by the Board of Directors.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to reimburse expenses associated with Chief Svetanics attending the Metro Chief’s Conference on June 20 thru 25, 2009, expenses to cover registration, transportation and lodging, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss, aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Motion by Mr. Meyer to adjourn general meeting at 11:45 a.m., 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, and Mr. Meyer aye.
