General Board Meeting called to order at 2:00 p.m. by President Mr. Schloss. Present were Directors Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag and Mr. Meyer, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. Also present were representatives of Principal Financial Group, Elmer Rosenthal, Kristine Custer and Matt Muccigrosso. Present for the Retirement Committee representing Local #2677 were Captain Bertelsmeier, Captain Jegel and Lt. Michalski.
Motion to commence to closed session under RSMo. 610.021(9) by Mr. Schloss, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
The purpose of meeting was yearly conference with Principal Representatives to discuss investment performance for Lemay Fire Protection District’s pension plan. Ms. Custer reported on all present options, the removal of several and development of new funds. Mr. Muccigrosso discussed risk profiles. The Retirement Committee decided to wait for pricing of new funds before deciding on investing with the new options. No vote taken.
Mr. Rosenthal, Ms. Custer and Mr. Muccigrosso, and Captains Bertelsmeier, Jegel and Lt. Michalski left meeting at 2:50 p.m.
Meeting continued with arrival of Mr. Mike Butz of Crawford-Butz Insurance Agency at 2:52 p.m. The purpose of this meeting was discussion on health insurance and health savings accounts. Mr. Butz reported on premium rates for next year and options for members. No vote taken.
Mr. Meyer left meeting at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Butz left meeting at 4:05 p.m.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to adjourn closed executive meeting at 4:05 p.m., 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
