General board meeting called to order at 3:30 p.m. by Chairman Jerry Schloss. Present were Directors Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag and Mr. Meyer, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. There were no Citizens from the District present.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and approve monthly expenses. Checks were reviewed and signed.

Mr. Meyer reported that Laclede Gas has agreed to reimburse the District for Missouri sales taxes collected. Laclede has been charging sales tax every month and since we are tax exempt, they will be giving us a credit for $934.50.

At this time the Board of Directors agreed to continue the tabled agenda from the general meeting of June 11, 2007, beginning with the Treasurer’s Report by Mr. Meyer.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report by Mr. Bettag, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.

Chief Svetanics gave his report on fire training at Mehlville and training here at the District attended by neighboring fire districts. Chief Svetanics also reported on a house fire on Erie.

Chief Svetanics stated that we are on hold as far as the overtime legislature is concerned as advised by our District attorney.

Monthly reports presented on training by each crew member, maintenance report, fire incident report and summary, ambulance statistics, ambulance monthly lockbox report and MediClaims report, community services report and wage report.

The Board of Directors reviewed three personnel files.

Next general meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. The regular open meeting for bill discussion will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 3:30 p.m.
