Minutes Board of Directors Meeting 7/22/03


General Board Meeting called to order at 10:01 a.m. by President Mr. Stonebraker. Present were Directors Mr. Stonebraker, Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics, Ms. Vincent, and Local 2677 President Captain Bertelsmeier. There were no Citizens from the District.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and approve monthly expenses. Checks were reviewed and signed.

Recommendation made by Mr. Stonebraker that Captain Schuessel contact retired Chief George Williams about closing old Explorer Scout account at Midwest Bank and that as trustees, they need to decide where to donate the funds. Some examples suggested were to a local Boy Scout Troop or to our Smoke Detector Fund.

Mr. Stonebraker made a recommendation that we implement everything suggested by our insurance carrier, Volunteer Firemen Insurance Services (VFIS) in their Management Liability/Employment Practices Assessment Report of our overall personnel policies and programs.

Motion made by Mr. Stonebraker to adjourn the Board meeting at 11:35 a.m., 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote all ayes.
